Neck workouts
Neck Muscles: Working out your neck helps prevent whiplash and is one of the most important muscles to workout when you play sports. It is easier to work out neck muscles if a neck machine is availble. Neck Machine:
If neck machine is availible, then follow directions on the machine and adjust the head support to your comfort and work all parts of your neck, front back and side to side. If neck machine is not available, then there are two other ways to work out your neck. The Bridging technique and the other is getting a head belt with weights.
Bridging
To work to the back of your neck using the bridging technique, lay flat on your back. Then use your head to lift your body off the floor while walking feet under you. Everything should be off the ground except for your head and feet. Hold for 10 seconds and repeat 8 to 10 times. The same thing can be done to work the front of your neck. Lay on your stomach and use hands to push yourself into position on your head. Again, walk feet under you and place hands behind your back. To work the sides I encourage you to find a neck machine.
